Diamond Aircraft announces partnership for the assembly of the DA62 model aircraft in Brazil by Aeromot and FBR Aviation

Diamond Aircraft Industries has announced on its official channels the expansion of its partnership with Aeromot and FBR Aviation, for the assembly of the Diamond DA62 aircraft on Brazilian soil.

Aeromot is proud of the new stage with Diamond Aircraft, a partnership of great importance established in 2016, when the company became the manufacturer’s Official Distributor and Authorized Service Center in Brazil.

This year, the history of Brazilian aviation takes on a new chapter, which begins with the expansion of the agreement between the companies for the domestic assembly of the Diamond DA62 aircraft, the piston model in greatest demand in the country, with the first models built in the country expected to be delivered in 2025.

The DA62 is a twin-engine piston aircraft with up to 7 seats that uses jet fuel (JET-A1) and consumes the same as a single-engine model, making it more economical and sustainable than other brands. As well as being extremely safe, the aircraft offers excellent value for money with ultra-modern avionics, exceptional flight performance and low operating costs, attributes that make the Diamond DA62 the leader in its segment in Brazil.

Today, Diamond Aircraft is the only general aviation manufacturer with production facilities on three continents – Europe, America and Asia. The initiative to produce the DA62 together with Aeromot and FBR Aviation seeks to expand Diamond’s presence in Latin America, supporting not only aircraft manufacturing, sales and technical support, but also the growth of the entire aerospace industry.

The licensed production of Diamond aircraft in Brazil is directly linked to the Aeromot Technology Center (CTAero), a project in the company’s expansion plan that will have an industrial airport with a 1,800-meter runway and will be the hub for domestic production of the DA62. The CTAero complex will also be a hub for the development of aeronautical and defense engineering and technologies, air mobility solutions and industry for the manufacture of aircraft, parts and components.

The alliance between the companies represents an important achievement for Brazilian aviation and marks the resumption of certified light aircraft manufacturing in the country, contributing to job creation and strengthening the region’s aeronautics and defense industry with new innovative technologies.
